Elementary School programs in Boston offer fun, hands-on enrichment activities for girls ages 8-11 that foster meaningful relationships with mentors and build a strong foundation for the future.

Elementary school programs in Boston empower youth to use their voices to advocate for themselves and their interests. Our college leaders facilitate weekly programming for youth, providing mentorship, academic support, and career exploration that will help them acquire advocacy, wellness, and economic literacy skills.

Weekly activities are designed to provide academic enrichment to youth. They fall under three different categories:

  • Strong Foundations: Explores potential future career opportunities. Also includes Strong Foundations Spotlight, a speaker series bringing in professional women in Boston to share their experiences and career journeys.
  • Smart Life: Focuses on academic enrichment and support.
  • Bold Futures: Builds mentoring relationships with college leaders.

Hours & Transportation

Monday-Friday | 1:45-5:30pm
Girls are transported from their schools to the Girls Inc. center each afternoon. Evening transportation from program to home is provided on a space available basis. $12 one way, $18 both ways (per day).
Vacation weeks and summer
Monday-Friday | 7:30am-5:30pm
Transportation is available to and from the program in mornings and evenings.

*Members must attend 5 days a week

To assist families with a service need, income-eligible subsidized contracts are available through the Massachusetts Department of Early Childhood Education and Care (EEC). Income-eligible families who are working 30+ hours, participating in job training, or attending school may apply for this subsidy. The fee is based on family size and gross monthly income. We accept childcare vouchers from outside agencies such as Child Care Circuit, Department of Transitional Assistance, and Community Partnership.
